Do now private companies can take control on free speech?

We've recently seen what happen in capitol, but do the action taken by big social media sites is not a big hit on free speech & that is even in world's oldest democracy? It is.

In name of its terms violation such action has been taken, now from when it is the duty of such sites to act like. Every person has the right to express himself any way in democracy, and do now private company control one's free speech of expressing himself , flaunting his/her views.

Now its high time that every country should impose strict regulations on social media so that these would not able to have an effect any way on the politics of any country. For instance if there is a candidate fighting elections and if specific site put ban on its account & he/she would not be able to connect with people than it would lead to destruction of his/her political carrier.

Moreover every country should have its own platform, but that can only be done once one country have its own cyber security system, and that is the point from when we become really 'Aatmnirbhar' (Independent).
